Bystander - A Short Film
This award-winning short film is based on the existentialist French Play (No Exit) by Jean Paul Sartre. It explores the theme that hell is other people.
The film is already winning awards on the International Film Festival circuit. Contented Brands were bought on board to help the Director achieve his vision for the final cut of the film
Contented Brands joined forces with local road safety campaigners (Essex) 'Canewdon Equestrians', Rochford councilor Julie Gooding and The British Horse Society, to help launch a campaign that will be accessible to all schools across the UK.
The catalyst for the campaign was the tragic loss of a horse called ‘Angel’, on a country road in Canewdon, Essex.
This film shows how this interactive programme with schools could work.

In the UK every year, 83,000 homeless young people, find themselves trapped in dire circumstances both at home and on the streets.
Centrepoint created the 'End Youth Homelessness' campaign. It consists of a variety of corporate partners, retail outlets and other charities.
We were asked to create a film, that portrayed how easy it is to become homeless. For instance - 60% of young people become homeless, due to family breakdown.
42% of homeless young people have a diagnosed mental health problem, or report symptoms of poor mental health.
31% have a physical health problem.
18% have attempted suicide.
The aim of this film was to help to put a stop to youth homelessness and we are extremely proud to be part of it.
ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) uses a network of technology brokers. They assess the market needs, in areas where there is a potential for exploitation of space technologies.
The TTPO team were regularly meeting and pitching to blue chip companies. They asked us to create a film, that would start their meetings with a 'bang' and really grab potential business partners attention.
The film features just some of the technology created for space, that also has an application here on earth. This included: Light Weight Travel Cots, Fireproof Underpants, Bed Bug and Heart Disease Detectors, and improved Life Vests for Pilots.
The Berkeley Group required a series of films, to help motivate their staff and to encourage them to forward plan and not to be afraid to ask questions.
Contented Brands came up with the concept of creating 3 animated films, which focused specifically on being clear, concise and curious.
The client was extremely pleased with the end result, as she had not previously considered the use of animation.
She loved being involved in the process of creating the hero characters and the scripting process.
All of the films have been very successful in helping focus Berkeley staff, on the dangers of not thinking ahead and also complicating simple messages.
